Conscious Cocktails April 2021 recap

C3MD hosted Conscious Cocktails in April for the first in its Higher Purpose series. “The Power of Purpose in Business” featured a discussion with Jules Shephard of gfJules, Jordan Darragh of PrintReleaf, and Holly & George Stone, owners of Clarksville Commons (and The Common Kitchen).

Panelists discussed how purpose is baked into their business models, how it has impacted their business success and personal fulfillment, and how they are making a positive impact in the world. A little more about each:

Jules Shepard, of gfJules, leads, inspires, and advocates for the gluten-free community. Jules’ mission in life is to make going gluten-free safe, successful, delicious, and even fun. It’s about bringing families back together around the table to share meals.

PrintReleaf helps to sustain and grow our global forestry system…one print job at a time by measuring a company’s paper consumption over time. They calculate how many trees were harvested to produce your paper consumption. Then, your organization’s paper footprint is automatically reforested at planting sites of your choice.

Clarksville Commons celebrates environmental sustainability in ways the community can see and appreciate – from pervious parking lots and courtyard pavers and solar power to a green roof and water collection and more. Their shops, restaurants, and offices are also committed to adhering to exacting guidelines for recycling, energy, and water use.

The Common Kitchen at Clarksville Commons is all about community. A unique food experience with international cuisines and universal favorites, It brings together local food entrepreneurs and hungry people. The independent vendors literally nourish our community as community support helps to grow their businesses.

Thank you to our event sponsors: Indigo Ink, insight180, and Kevin Howard, CPA; and thank you to all who participated in this great discussion. If you missed it, watch the YouTube video here. Can’t wait to see you bright and early at the next Conscious Coffee on May 18, 8-9 AM ET.
