C3MD hosted Conscious Coffee in March for the last in its Stakeholder Orientation series. “Diversifying and Democratizing Philanthropy” featured a discussion with the Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County. The Women’s Giving Circle brings women together to learn about issues that impact women and girls in the community, and pool their dollars to fund programs that address those issues in order to have a greater impact. Giving circles are the epitome of stakeholder orientation and collaboration – every gift matters, no gift is too small. C3MD Board Member and moderator Wendy Baird talked with Buffy Beaudoin-Schwartz, Executive Director, Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County, and Candace Dodson-Reed, Grants Committee Chair, Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County about their organization, initiatives in Social Justice and DEI, and more.
Thank you to our event sponsors: Conscious Collaboratory, insight180, ReFrame Financial Planning, and The Wendy Slaughter Team at Elevate Real Estate Brokerage; and thank you to all who participated in this great discussion.
