Cheers to another successful (and sold out!) Ignite Howard County event! Ignite Howard County #8 took place at Jailbreak Brewing Company on Monday, October 23, 2023 and the crowd – like the speakers at this year’s event – was fantastic!
This inspiring evening was filled with networking, catching up with friends, and enjoying the impressive spread catered by Jailbreak Brewing Co. Even with a few technical difficulties with the sound system, part of the magic of Ignite is that it all worked out fine. The audience and the Jailbreak staff were generously quiet and polite and each speaker held our rapt attention.
The topics presented by the Ignite Howard County #8 speakers covered a wide range of ideas, all of which were inspiring, informative, and engaging. One audience member commented, “I was impressed with the diversity of the topics, the speakers, and the audience!” while another raved about how one speaker in particular drew them in from the very beginning of her five minute presentation. All in all the audience raved about the innovation and preparation the speakers brought to the stage at this year’s event, so much so that we’re sure some are already thinking about speaking at Ignite HoCo #9!
As part of our culture of giving back, C3MD asked each speaker to choose their favorite nonprofit. At the
end of the evening, one of those nonprofits is randomly chosen to receive a $500 donation. Congratulations to Leadership Howard County for being selected for the Ignite Howard County #8 donation! The first Ignite took place in Seattle in 2006 and since then the event has become an international phenomenon. In 2015 Ignite came to Howard County and C3MD took over as organizer for the annual event in 2018. It’s been growing in popularity ever since thanks to popular demand and word of mouth year after year (after year). Want to see how the Ignite Howard County talks have evolved over time?
