Continuing to explore the fundamental pillars of conscious capitalism as the business and global landscapes shift, C3MD most recently looked at strategies and opportunities around Higher Purpose and Culture.
Here is a recap of the May 20th and May 27th sessions on Higher Purpose and Conscious Culture respectively. Special thanks to Mary Jo Neil at Drawn Dialogue for providing the graphic recording.
On May 20, C3MD Advisory Board member Wendy Baird, Owner, insight180 Brand Consulting & Design; and C3MD Secretary Sandy Young, PE, CCM, LEED AP; Construction Manager, hosted “Harnessing Purpose Amidst Change.” They were joined by a guest panel: Josh Massey, COO & Co-Founder, Ortus Academy; Liz Richardson, COO/Co-Founder, Indigo Ink; Wendy Slaughter, President/Owner, The Wendy Slaughter Team of Elevate Real Estate Brokerage.
This workshop asked and answered “Why does your business exist beyond making money? What impact do you wish to have?” It shared the importance of a great purpose because it acts like a powerful magnet that can align all stakeholders, whether a large corporation or small business.

This workshop examined how culture influences an organization’s success and asked how our business cultures might change as a result of our new normal? We discussed how small businesses, corporate leaders and professionals can shape and evolve their organization’s culture.
